At South Chard Church we are blessed to have a diverse and committed leadership team, who share a passion for God and His people.

Pastors Neil & Jenny Reid
Originally from Liverpool, Neil and Jenny moved to the South West after hearing the call of God. They have led the church since August 2003.  Neil has a wisdom beyond his years and a remarkably close relationship with God.  His sermons are full of knowledge but also eminently practical and – most importantly – fun!  His real and lively sense of humour is always evident, which is particularly relevant as he supports Liverpool FC. Jenny has a real musical talent.  She plays keyboards and has a beautiful singing voice which helps the church to experience a sense of God’s presence during worship every Sunday.  She also has a sharp sense of humour and a genuine love for people.  Jenny and Neil’s home has often been a haven for the lost and homeless as they demonstrate God’s love in a practical and hands-on way, helping people get back on their feet.

Luke & Abi Talmage
Luke and Abi both work full-time as Primary School teachers in Yeovil. Luke serves as Associate Pastor and has been a member of the church since his birth in1980. They are both open and honest people committed to seeing God’s Kingdom come on earth and have a real heart for parenting young and old alike.

Henry & Margaret Hall
Henry and Margaret have been faithful members of South Chard Church for over 30 years. They moved to the South West from London after revival broke out in the days of Uncle Sid & Aunty Mill.  Henry and Margaret are genuinely warm and loving people who make it their business to say hello to anyone they don’t know.

Ruth Powell
Ruth moved to South Chard as a young child with her parents, Harry and Pam Greenwood. She currently oversees the church admin department and is one of the most organised people you are likely to meet!  Ruth has a gentle and loving nature and goes out of her way to offer a kind word or deed.

Pam Greenwood
Ruth’s mother Pam, has been a member of South Chard Church for more than 30 years. She has a wealth of ministry experience and continues to offer support and direction on the leadership team. Pam’s biblical knowledge is extraordinary and she has many stories of how God has performed miraculous things in her life.

Mikey Powell
Ruth’s son Mikey has been a member of South Chard since birth. He has a God-given gift for worship and song writing. He currently oversees our worship department and it’s Mikey’s influence which makes the singing at South Chard so loud, joyful and enthusiastic.
