Little Acorns (Under 5′s)

Little Acorns is our under-fives group which meets every Sunday morning at 11.30am in the Little Acorns room at the back of the main church building.  This room is geared towards the children, with child-friendly tables, chairs, and beanbags.  It’s a welcoming and safe environment for the youngest members of our congregation and toddlers and youngsters from outside the church to meet and learn about God together.

Responsibility for Little Acorns falls to mum of two, Sarah Dunning.  Sarah is an experienced Social Worker and has a heart for children. Her gentle approach has ensured that all the children come in with big smiles and even the shyest child can join in the planned activities with confidence. Sarah has introduced a learning scheme where the children partake in age-appropriate biblical themed activities. The children become happily busy, involving themselves in painting, model-making, cutting and sticking, stories and action songs and prayer.

Sarah hopes Little Acorns will be helping the children to form friendships in the group that will last as they grow, and that they will be an encouragement to each other. “I know when I was young seeing my friends was a very important aspect of coming to church.”

So if you have a child or children under five who enjoys singing, playing games and meeting friends please come along on Sunday at 11.30am and join in.
